Ruger p95 9mm

Picked up a brand new Ruger P95 in 9mm for $269.00 at Cheaper than Dirt. Came with two clips..

Is that a reliable carry weapon? I bought an additional 2 factory clips, loaded with a FMJ Ball, HollowPoint every other round.. Best combination of penetration and expansion..

Very good buy! Very reliable. Very accurate. Great customer service...blah blah blah... The P95 is an outstanding pistol.

I agree keep each mag loaded with only one type of ammo, preferably HPs.
Use the FMJ for practice or if in a pinch and you happen to run out of HPs.

Does Ruger actually make money on these?

I also agree with the "staggered" loading advice; it is superfluous with a 9mm, although there might be some merit in .380 and smaller. Any 9mm JHP, even the "old school" ones like the Federal 9BP (a favorite of mine) or WWB, will have enough penetration short of some wildly improbable scenario.

That's the gun that goes to the range every trip. I,ve shoot thousands of reloads from mine & it's only a year & a half old. GREAT GUN for the $$ ; )

Yes. A bit bulky for a lot of concealed situations, but then again I'm a skinny guy.

Oh, and load 100% HP with a quality defensive load for carry.
