Ruger P95/S&W Sigma ...value or junk?

Never shot or owned a Sigma, I dont have any opinion on them.

Ive had my P-95 DC since the summer of 1999...stopped keeping track of rounds after it hit 3000 in 2002. I still shoot it every time I go to the range and it is very dependable. Had a few FTF's with Blazer Aluminum one time, and another time with some reloads, but all in all it works really well. I may not be the most asthetically pleasing or have the best ergonomics, but for the price, it is a great weapon. I would recommend the P-95 to anyone.

I've had a P95 DC for a few years, I had some limp wristing issues so some FTF and FTE. The mags would fall out, either full or almost empty. I took out the spring and tweaked it. The mags stay in place now, and it shoots as good as my eyesight will allow.

Never fired the Sigma so I can't comment on that.

My P95 is a great gun, it's solid, rugged, and reliable which is just what I need in a tool. And that's all my Ruger is, a tool. It's available in my home quickly and everybody that needs to know how to use it does. My wife feels safe when I go away and leave it for her, and I don't need to worry. All I could ask for.

I can't speak on the new production Sigmas but I had a near-first run when they came out and had nothing but problems. Failure to feed, magazine that wouldn't drop, and one failure to fire. The failure to fire was the last straw and I got rid of it. They are offered at a lot of ranges here in Indianapolis as tryouts, but I haven't got any interest in them at this point.
