I often enjoy taking my Wingmaster duck hunting, but for clay pigeons I stick with an 1100, usually a 20 gauge anymore. Never took to O/Us after a beautiful little Beretta I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with, and it did fit.

If it indeed did fit, then I'll wager you were either stopping a swing or you were peeking and lifting your head; those are two of the biggest oops one can do...
 
I don't know all these years later, but in a year with an 1100 I was league high average. I just do not like my left eye seeing all that barrels out there. I have shot hundreds and don't like any but a little scaled frame 28.
