Ruger SR9 vs S&W SD9

Sorta want a plastic 9mm as a range gun. The Ruger SR9 and the S&W SD9 both interest me. Between these 2 which would you go for?

The SD9 is nothing more than a retooled Sigma, AFAICT, that they charge more money for.

I've not shot an SD9 but I have shot the Sigmas and the SR9. The Ruger feels and shoots much better in my hand. The grip is a bit thin for my hand though.

The Ruger is deadly accurate... after shooting a few round in my buddy's SR9 I was very impressed and I said, hey watch this... and shot the staples out of the target at 15ft.

Although I will tell you, having owned one, that I liked neither the trigger (gritty, stacked, did not break clean) nor the sights (too high for me) and I sold the gun a few months after I bought it.

It was, however, very accurate, lightweight, and ergonomic.

You know not what you speak my friend!! The SD9 may use the same action as the Sigma as well as the Glock, but has many upgrades and atvantages IMHO. The trigger is WAY improved over the Sigma, the sights are steel and with a front Trijicon night sight aslo, the slide is way more attractive and has a nice melonite coating on it. It is also has a standard accessory rail not like the propriotory one on the Sigma, and is very slim for a double stack auto but is close to the same size as a G19 in all ways but thickness.
If you have not shot one then you would not know about all the improvements over the Sigma. All this and my SD9 only ran me $390. Well worth the additional $60-$70 over the Sigma.
