i was looking on aimsurplus the other day and i saw thier Mosin nagant for sale. they want 70$ for it and they say its in excellent condition.
i try to aviod buying Russian or chinese stuff if i can but for the price its hard to pass up.
before i buy it thought id like to get more inforfation on it. how accurate they are, r they classified as "sniper" rifles, are they good hunting rifles, is this the same gun jude law used in "enemy at the gates" etc.

any information would be appreciated

#1. NEVER pass up a good condition russian gun, they last forever.
#2. Accuracy varies from rifle to rifle. It also varies dependiong on model. Is it a carbine? A 91/30 long rifle? Or is it a pre WWII? those factors effect accuracy.
#3. Yes, there are sniper versions out there, but those cost upwards of $1000 for a good one. The gun in "Enemy At The Gates" was a 91/30 sniper rifle with a 3.5x PU scope (I think)
#4. They make fine hunting rifles, they're long and heavy but balance well and the cartridge is suitable for any game, from deer to bear.

Hope that helps.

I bought myself an M44 and I have to say that it is a great gun. Recoil wise it is horrid, but other than that, it is great.

They're fun shooting guns. They would work as deer guns, but there are better choices out there, especially for someone just starting out.

A very affordable, cool looking shooter. Everyone should have one at $70.

For $70 I say grab it. They are a kick to shoot both literally and figuratively. Here's a pic of my M44 carbine...when you shoot this puppy it lets you know! Awesome guns that will last longer than any of us :)

Kalashnikov,
the model is a 91/30 but it doesnt come with a scope, it comes with a bayonet sling and ammo pouch. i suppose i could add a scope on to it
right?
