Anyone know or have any experience with some of the anti-rust vapor products effect on scopes? I'm considering storing uppers out of my safe in a sealed container with one of the Inhibitor Tool Box Plugs (like this). I know they supposedly work by bonding with metal surfaces to create a "barrier". Are they safe with scope lens coatings?

Thanks for any info!

ive never had any issues using the yellow plastic squares from brownells or zcorr/zerust bags. I now use VCI paper and completely wrap rifles and the stick them in a silicon sock in my safe for long-ish storage. VCI products work great- just wish there was an indicator the let you know when they stop emitting their active compound
