I noticed these "X Club" threads in the revolver section. I did not see any here, so....

I'm a proud owner of an early production S&W 3913. This is absolutely my favorite semi automatic pistol. Mine has the flash chromed hammer and trigger, and reduced profile slide stop.

Light weight, reliable, easily concealed, accurate and durable. I think it is one of the best CCW pistols made.

Anyone else a fan of the 3913? TJ

The really early ones had a phillips head screw that held the safety on. LokTite is your friend with that screw. Past that, mine was a decent little gun.

It's a model I always liked the look of and finally traded into one about a year ago. Liked it so much I bought a pair of 3953's just before Thanskgiving. I like those so much that one of them is my every day carry. They're very slightly larger and heavier than my 3" 1911 (Springifled Micro compact) but they're a lot of fun to shoot and a lot cheaper to practice with. One of the 3953's will be sold soon to help pay for a CS9 "Chief's Special" that is on its way. S+W single-stack 9mm's are all good as far as I'm concerned.

Unfortunately, my 3913 Ladysmith was a casualty of the economy. :banghead: I nearly cried when I slid it across the counter to the UPS clerk for the final time. But it was a great gun while I had it.

For those men who own or are thinking of owning the LadySmith version, there is no need to turn in your "man card." :neener: This is a flat-out good looking pistol, with its upswept frame dust cover, frame anodizing and stainless slide with a "frosted" appearance. All this, of course, is moot if it doesn't shoot. ;) Mine was very accurate as well has having smooth trigger pulls, and never had a hint of a malfunction. It is also, while not the most compact in height and length, very slender, with a rounded-top slide, and flat, making it very comfortable to carry IWB holstered. Speaking of which, I had a Milt Sparks Watch Six made for mine. A light slim gun deserves a light slim holster. :)

I have drank the S&W Koolaid- CS9 , 3913NL and 6906. They all shoot great and carry even better. The "NL" takes care of the Ladysmith phobia.

I have a 3913 TSW I purchased new years ago as my first handgun. I have shot thousands and thousand of rounds and have never never had anything but positive experience. It served as my only pistol for years. My wife actually likes it best of all my guns so this has become "hers". I still get to carry it from time to time. It is accurate concealable and reliable I dont know what else one could ask for.

My first and only gun is a 3913 and I am very happy with it. Only about 200 rounds through it so far and it is too filthy to take pics of at the moment.

3913/3914, 3913LS, 6906/6904, even 908's, all are welcome.

Different pews in the same "church", as far as I'm concerned. :) TJ

I own a late production 3913 and a CS9. Both are excellent 9mm's and have given good service.

I carried one or another issued 6906 from the early production period ('89-90) for several years, firing many thousands of rounds through a couple of them. I estimated one of them was used to fire upwards of 45+K rounds before I retired it. A LNIB late production 6906 is only my list of guns I'd like to find sitting neglected in some gun shop case some day ... (round trigger guard, straight-cut breech face, wide barrel tab, MIM hammer, narrow trigger & sear).

Personally, I've always thought the 3913 was pretty much the best definitive example of a state-of-the-art compact, metal framed, single column magazine, traditional double action 9mm pistol ever produced.

My only regrets are that they discontinued the 3913TSW & CS9 for general commercial production and that they never made a "3916", meaning a stainless steel framed model of the little compact. It would have been a bit heavy, granted, but talk about a soft-shooting, lifetime compact 9mm ...

After shooting the 3913LS I bought for my girlfriend, I had to have one for myself. A short time later, I was fortunate to find this NIB 3913NL - very nice pistols indeed.

I have a model 39-1, 1959 vintage, and it's the sweetest shooting 9mm I own. Not a carry gun, but it's a super pistol.

I couldn't stand to watch such a great topic fade in to oblivion. The 3913's have seen a great resurgence lately and the prices of them has doubled in the last year. These are some of the best carry guns ever made IMHO.
