My unpopular opinion is that for the money, there are nicer metal frame firearms on the market. They might not be striker fired, but they are still nice just the same.
also, if you didn't think the polymer M&P was all that great, why would you think the aluminum frame was? It's basically the same gun. I've owned an M&P 2.0 Compact from when they were first released years ago. I spent $$$ adding a threaded barrel, APEX competition trigger, Trijicon HD XR night sights, and a few spare magazines only to have taken it to the range about 3 times. It never really did anything for me, and I doubt changing the frame material will change my mind about them.

I went to the range the other day and they had a variety of guns out to try. Some I hated, some were ok but the one that stuck out for me was the M&P Metal. Never was a M&P fan, nothing wrong with them but they never did it for me. Anyone have or experience the metal version? I think I’ll be going back to confirm my liking of it.
