Some friends and I are getting scopes for our Serbu .50 BMG rifles. We'll probably be getting moderately priced fixed power scopes (probably the Bushnell Elite 3200 10x fixed). What rings should we get? I see Burris Zee rings, Leupold PRW rings, Millet Angle-Locs, and others. These are all in the $20-$40 range. Any recommendations? I see there are high-end rings that cost several times this, and low-end rings for around $10 as well. We want to get decent quality that will hold well and not damage our scopes, without spending more than necessary.

Your recommendations will be appreciated.

I have had good luck with the Zee rings. The signature model with inserts gives you additional adjustment, which could be useful in a gun with an extended range.

I have not tried the others you mention but think you would not go wrong with the Burris rings. I hope you will let us know what works for you.

I would think for something with some serious kick like a .50, you might want to go with something like a set of leupold mark 4 rings or betteryet a set from badger ordnance. the badger max 50 rings are made specificly for heavy rifles like the .50 bmg and will securely hold the scope against the heavy recoil without doing any damage to the tube.
