Selling a 30/06 to buy a 6.5 Creedmoor

Cost really isn’t an issue, but it seems silly to buy the Mesa and $$ Swaro combo when I can buy both the Tikka and Bergara for the same amount.
Or 4 Americans or Axis lol.....again it really depends on what you want, and what you want to spend on it.
My only really advice, is be sure your happy with the idea in your head before buying. If youve got doubts that you REALLY want the features on the Mesa one of the others is probably a better choice.

I do. I want the Mesa, so I need to buy that. DONE. Now it’s scope. Seems like the Zeiss is the answer. If I can get it for that price I will, if not, I’ll look at something else

Actually....i just realized all scopes are 50mm objectives not the 42-44s i was thinking
Would you not buy a 50mm just because of a couple oz? Seems like the added visibility at low light far outweighs the weight difference.... Then again, I'm not hiking mountains, I'm in the hills of southern Indiana. What are your thoughts?

The weight and placement of a scope can change how a rifle handles and balances, and even in hills, oz can turn into lbs at the end of a long day. I have rigs with heavy scopes and rigs with light scopes, each has a purpose, but they are thought out.

Me?? I'd keep the 30-06. Just saying.
If someone doesn't buy it, that's what I'll be doing, but I'm already committed in my head to buying a new rifle...so either way, I'll be buying something in a 6.5 creed, and mounting it with a new scope. I’m about out of room in the gun safe...not a bad problem to have I guess...
