Even though you're a nasty Paris Island Marine, congrats:neener: . I remember when my Senior gave me my EGA. I've only had 2 more joyful experiences in my entire life: Getting married and seeing my daughter born.
I have a piece of advice for you. When you get to SOI, make sure you speak in 1st person. They love to mess with the guys who slip up and say "This Recruit."
So what's your MOS, Devil Dog?

Semper Fi, brother. Welcome aboard.

Congrats to you from an old Army cannon-cocker (ETSed, that is:) ).

Congratulations, PFC Accord, and welcome to our Corps!

Try not to suffer a letdown when you join the "real" Corps; it's a mite less tightly strung than the textbook environment at PI.

Congradulations! Welcome aboard MARINE.
I am a Parris Island graduate. Glad to hear they are going strong.
Later in life you will laugh at it all and remember all the fun you had. I enjoyed the pugal sticks. I finally got to slap someone around. Also you will learn you can overcome anything in life.
Enjoy!

PS: I trained recuits at San Diego.

Semper Fidelis and welcome to the family, brother!

Graduation day is day you will never forget, and often times wish you could relive.

Out of curiosity, what MOS did you choose?

Congratulations. Well Done.

I did my 4 in the USAF, but my best friend was USMC.

You've got a lot to live up to, but I'm guessing you'll do fine.

We had a First Lady once who had this to say about Marines:
The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!
Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States, 1945

With men like you I know our flag is in good hands.

I remember how good is to be called a soldier and not a recruit or trainee. That was USARMY though. Still leaving that parade ground at Ft Dix, and getting on the bus to go to Ft Belvoir was one of the best experiences of my life. "LETS GO SOLDIER LOAD EM UP!!!!! It struck me I wasn't a trainee or a recruit. The DI was still screaming his head off, but he called me Soldier. Man oh man did that feel good.
Congratulations Accord, Well done, and most important Thank-You.

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem." - President Ronald Reagan

Congrats--and thanks.
