How about Chabot next time

Gentlemen,
How about we make it at Chabot (http://www.chabotgunclub.com) next time. I can reserve a 50 yard range at Chabot and we can pretty much do anything we want, including rapid fire and draw and fire from holster, if qualified. We can run IDPA style stages with rifle, shotgun or pistol, or plink w/ targets that we bring (no glass please), or do some position shooting w/ .22's or ???

Only thing is that Chabot is pretty busy so their 50 yard ranges are booked up well in advance. If we can agree on a date, and if one of the 50 yard ranges is open, then we're golden.

If y'all are interested, let me know.

Chabot would be great..but in order to do anything that we want on a range, you must be a R.O., or better cause they certainly are very careful as to what gets done where.

Well, IDPA style stages would be great, or for those firing from the holster for the first time.. maybe shooting an IDPA qualifier. That would be a simple from the holster activity. Maybe finding a date and starting a new thread would be a good start.

I'm all for it. Chabot sounds good. Sunday morning would work out best for me.

Should we open another thread?

Persnicklewitz! :banghead:

Missed this one, dang it! Unexpected car trouble (Read: flat tire on range day.) dented the funds and the available time. Rats.

I'll make the next one. Met this English lady who's a hardcore conservative. NRA member, no less. Owns a couple of SWEET guns, but has never actually gone shooting. (They were her husband's guns.)

Looks like I get to expand her horizons. I'd bring her here, but she's got no online access for some reason. Suffice it to say I'm workin' on it. You-all will get to meet her at some point, rest assurred.

Been to Chabot. Nice range, but no plinking! All hail reactive targets! Chabot's got sillouhettes, and a 200-yard range, but it's only accessable to MEMBERS. Nertz. We'll think of something.
