Back in the 1980's a manufacturer brought what he called a "Shell Shrinker" to the firearms range at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center for testing for possible use as a trianing vehicle for new shooters.

It was all aluminum and was chambered for .38 Special. As I remember, it had a rubber "O" Ring inside to keep the the .38 Special wadcutter cartidges from falling out.

They fed and fired well in an 870P and the empty casing could later be easily punched out of the Shrinker with a dowel rod or even a pencil.

So far all my web searches have come up empty. Anyone have any info? - Thanks.
