shooting from the hip cannot be accuratly practiced for real life situations because of the lack of mechanics involved the muscle memory is pretty much nonexistant that said the turret movement spoken of is the most effective Point shooting out there if you hold it center of chest or centermass and then whatever your shoulders are squared towards you will hit in the general area of (very effective)also if your wearing armor it will expose the safest part of your body the torso where the armor is

I'm not too sure if you mean actually shooting while the gun is held against or near the hip, or more in the general sense of shooting at waist level, or in any case well below eye level.

Anyway I am always interested in learning the various reasons something can't be done, while others have been "doing the impossible" for decades and even longer. Probably the reason more folks aren't doing what can't be done is because they have been convinced by someone else that they can't... :uhoh: ;)

Hogwash! I'd suggest studying the works of Bill Jordan, Elmer Keith, Ed McGivern, etc. I've been point-shooting as long as I've had access to outdoor areas to shoot so you'll never convince me that it "cannot be accurately practiced". Like anything else, it takes a bunch of practice and you'll never truly master it.

Yep, "Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting" is still in print and very available. Palladium Press even did a fancy reprint in leather recently.
