Shooting Low

There is a similar target as shown in Post #5 that has useful information on what is wrong with your hold with your hand gun.

With the sights entered on the gun, I generally shoot to the left (I think if I remember correctly) where I need to drift the sight off center to get the groups to center.

If I adjust my grip, I can move the position of impact. Unfortunately, I have not been able to adjust my hold such that the sights work as advertised automatically. You'll milage may vary from the above statement.

Net results, many of my semi-auto pistols have adjustable sights on them or I have drifted the rear sight to account for the poor windage alignment..

For some reason, my revolver sights are centered, windage wise, for normal shooting and I only have to adjust for vertical adjustment for distance.

Any way, my two cents worth.

I’ve had to adjust my grip recently to try to fix my tendency to pull shots right. Now all my pistols with adjustable sights are shooting left. We’ll see what happens as I unravel all my other flaws.

In my experience European made pistols shoot low. The sights are supposed to cover the target. I hate that. I have installed a lower front sight on my USP9.
