Should I Buy This Rifle/Scope ?

I just fired two 3 round groups. The first one was way to the left and not shown. After adjusting the windage, i took 3 more shots. Battery is a AA size, shown for scale. Not too shabby for the first:what: 30'06 rifle i've ever owned. I am amazed how much the action tames the '06's recoil. Even with a steel buttplate, it feels a lot like my sks. Now im just curious to see if the scope mount can hold that zero. I origionally baught this rifle to re-sell, but now im having a hard time parting with it. I cant explain it, but it just feels so good in my hands. I dont really like the scope however, as it is a little too eye-relief sensitive for my liking. Now the hard part. Sell or keep.:banghead:

as youall can tell from the handle my hunting tastes are a little different to say the least... but you dont always need the bullet holes touching on the paper just as long as they touch the hiar in the right spot at the right time.... 742 carbine with a big light gathering 4 power for the nights when the hogs stop just outside of buckshot range.. has done me good for years.. at least untill that new mini-30 with that big mag came around...

i have a 740 and there very accurate. just dont plan on shooting another shot, it might not be there.

is it just me or is that a pistol scope. and why the elaborate mount.
