SHTF reality?

Someone brought it to my attention the other day, that all this talk and blabber about "SHTF" "preparedness" is absurd. Because it does not matter if you have 100,000 rounds of ammo, if you don't train often on that platform you've got nothing. Because I've been thinking if this whole "SHTF" thing happens and is real, it's most likely to be an larger opposing force, not just mere looters and bandits or the like from mad max. SWIM see's the most likely thing to happen would be in order democide, genocide, invasion of an oposing force, economical collapse. I think all of those are obvious, but that last one is the one most people think about. But i if we're in EC we are scattered perfect time for one of our adversaries AE china, to swoop in and land grab, or heck even Mexico. But don't you see in all of those cases we would be facing an opposing force that would be scatterd yes but, still very much functional. And lately my point in all of this is they would have bullet resistant armour, and in a situation such as that I'm sure they'll issue something that our 556s won't penatrate, I don't know about any one else but in that situation I don't see myself easily pulling face shots and being lone wolf mquade, like a lot of people say they would be in that situation, I think I would be shaking and scared and trying my best to stay on target. Well my breaks over in 5 minutes so I guess I'm done, I just wanted to post somthi g like this before I forgot if im wrong or severly miss guided on the subject, anyone please chime in and let me know, and tell your opinions on the matter.
