"...- What to do with the guns you can't carry?"

Sell them beforehand and use the money for things more practical than guns you can't use. More ammo for your first choice guns, better first choice guns (one or two outstanding guns are far and away better than a pile of cheap guns) a better (more practical)vehicle, good camp gear, a high quality training class, financing a move to a better area to live,......

Extra guns/ammo/whiskey/etc could probably be bartered to others for things you might find yourself needing.

The idea of selling off some guns to take care of being better prepared isn't a bad one. I can only use so many at once. As much as I love some of my guns, they just don't match up to my FAL. I could still use a .22 handgun over some of the guns I have. Maybe less is more.

I plan on doing a bug-in if the SHTF. I don't own a place in the country. All my weapons, ammo, food, supplies and things are here. I figure I could do better here than out on the trail to who knows where.

The guns I can't carry? Put them in the locked utility trailer behind my bug-out van.

Heck, I'd load the trunk up, and the 4th seat...just leave the MIL behind.

Joking...well...maybe.

:D

I'm with anyone who says hide them in the attic. I lost a staple gun in the attic one time, knew approximately where I dropped it, and still couldn't find it.

1900 square feet of white insulation that all looks the same makes for a lot of ground to cover, especially when the home owner is due back at an undisclosed moment in time. That is if a B.G. even considers looking in the attic for something.

This thread is an interesting find.

I'm going to turn it over to the experts for further research.

We'll have top men working on it.

Top . . . men . . .

:D
