Hey guys,

Anyone have one? How do you like it, any issues to look out for?

I came across a great deal on one and while I've never really looked at the Allround as I prefer the Competition model it was too good of a deal to pass up :)

Hello Morgo, I have had my 9MM X-5 Allround for several years now. I intentionally bought the Allround because I figured some of the parts would be interchangable with regular P226 parts. Mine is accurate and has been totally reliable with any and all ammo I have ever tried. I have replaced the decocker and slide stop with the standard non-extended type. I am also using the short trigger in mine.

I'm a SIG armorer, but SIG would not initially sell ne the SRT parts. I sent my X-5 to SIG and had the SRT parts installed.

Now the extractor issue. Mine has chipped two extractors. After the second one chipped at the bottom edge, I beveled and polished that edge as we would do on a 1911 extractor. I'm a Colt armorer too, and beveling and polishing the X-5 extractor seemed like a logical and simple thing to try. It worked. Reliability has remained 100% and no more chipped extractors. I still enjoy shooting my Allround. I believe it is the softest recoiling 9MM i have ever fired, even with NATO, +P and +P+ type ammo...

I've only put a lot of rounds through the .40 cal L-1 and the 9mm Competition, but I was able to put a couple of magazines through a friend's Allaround. The big SIG really soaks up recoil. making the .40 feel like a 9mm and the 9mm feel like a .22lr.

One of my friends is Bruce Gray who makes a living fine tuning SIG. He recently tuned up a 9mm Allaround for Mickey Fowler to use during the Bianchi Cup and took it out back to testfire after the work. The resulting 5 shot group was shot at 50 yards off a work bench

Thanks for the input guys. I might have to look into the SRT trigger option.

This is the one I've put a deposit on

Should go well with its brother :)

I also have X5 Allround.
I however bought it unintentionally, but liked it over past four months that I decided to keep it- until I get my hands on an X6 model in scandic blue.
