Sig P6 vs 225

I just put a P6 on layaway at my local Gander Mtn. It was $300, w/ 2 mags, holster, leather mag pouch, and blue plastic box.
So a little more than I'd get from places like AIM and J&G, but after transfer and shipping it actually works out a little cheaper.

Also, unlike J&G, it has both mags and the other stuff. The holster is functional for OC wear, but it's nothing special. The mag pouch is neat, though.

This pistol fits my hand better than a 1911, oddly neough. I are happy boy. :D

So I took the delivery of the P225 CPO (Not P6). Interestingly enough, the slide says "Made in W. Germany." But it also says P225. It came with all the correct CPO garb (red case, red tape around the grip, etc.).

But since E. Germany ended in 1990, I must assume my P225 was made prior to that time.

Does that mean it has the older P6 barrel and trigger spring, despite the P225 moniker?

Or would Sigarms have replaced these up to "modern" P225 specs when the pistol was reconditioned?

Another question about the SIG P225. It's been a while since I owned a SIG pistol. Until this P225 CPO, I had a SIG P229 about 7-8 years ago, which I sold.

I noticed that when I dryfired the P225, the hammer did not stay down on the firing pin, but sprang back to half-cock position. Is that normal?
