Here we have my Yugo SKS, WASR, and Glock with my brother's Norinco Carbine, WASR, and Springfield Mil Spec. Both the SKSs have TechSights. Both the WASRs have Mojo ghost rings and ACE folders. My brother opted for the standard length Galil style folder. I opted for the folding six-position M4 style stock.

I love the WASR. The Yugo is a joy to shoot, and due to its longer sight radius maybe a little bit more accurate, but the WASR gets it done for me. I can get gallon water jugs at 150 yards, sitting, slow fire, or keep 50%+ COM at 200 yards from a knee busting off one round every 1 to 1.5 second or so. Proned out, I can make it unfriendly for you to expose yourself probably out to 300 yards or so, possibly longer if I get to initiate contact. I'll have some new handguards on it next week and hopefully a Kobra in a month or two.

O and to go along with the "don't mess with momma pick," here's one I had my sister take of me for S&Gs when I discovered my brother had a trench coat. I've never seen him wear it and suspect he picked it up off base near Fort Campbell as a gag or out of simple boredom for its entertainment value. I couldn't resist the opprotunity to have some fun.

I'm holding my WASR and my dad's Desert Eagle .44 Mag. I got the Glock and the .45 in the waste band with another WASR and the Norinco Carbine under the trench coat. Fun stuff. I was going more for the Neo look rather than the social outcast gothic look but I think the camo and the Slipknot shirt puts me somewhere in between.

dude, that is probably the worst gun pic ever posted here. :D I tried to clean it up for you the best I could.

next time, get closer to the rifle.;)

also, don't put the rifle on a background that is the same color as thr rifle.

Here is my "project" SKS, it's really a bubba job, but with SKSs being so cheap and all, what better rifle is there to do it with?

IMG_0308.jpg

Truth is, after removing the grenade launcher, hacking a piece of the barrel off, and crowning it with the shotgun news method, it shot noticeably better. This is nothing other than a plinking rifle. The sight is a simmons red dot with a reciever cover mount. This rifle isn't accurate enough for me to care too much about zero anyway, although, just for peace of mind, Im considering buying a scout mount. Also, the cover for the gas tube jiggles a little bit, but other than that, it's dead reliable.

Russian SKS from the '50's. I think it's been rearsenaled; the stock date ('51) and receiver date ('52) don't match.

Romanian SAR-1, which is up for sale.

Last but not least: AK, SKS, and a JMB design from 1906 that, perhaps, inspired little Mickey K. & Sergei S. back in the day. Sorry for the size, but thought you might like to examine all three closer.

I'm curious too. My uncle has one of those (identical looking) and I shot it a while back. He said his dad used it in WWI, it was very reliable. I guess I could walk down the street and ask him.

Remington Model 8, the first semi-automatic sporting rifle offered in the US, or so I read. I saw this one and fell in love. It needs a little work (bolt carrier has got a crack), but it should eventually see some range time. There are a few pages of information online, but you can find Remington's web info on it here. I think the one pictured was made in the mid to late '20's.

Nice lookin' rifles. I especially like the ones with the M4 style stocks.

and the real deal, an AIM folder Romanian 74

I think they look real 70's in this configuration, so cool!!!

Here's my one and only SKS. I didn't like the bayonet so cut it off, thought the wood was ugly as sin so I painted it black. Added an aperature rear sight, but it has some lateral movement. Will only shoot "minute of bucket" at 100 yards.

Very, very nice. I'm building my Romy "G" kit to look like that, except that it will be in 7.62x39 (of course) and I want to restain the forward grip mahogany

Mindfusion, the top pic in post #23, do you know what version of the AK that is? Do you know anything about that scope rail, the flip down front sight, or that lower handguard? Interesting rifle. Never seen that stuff before.

A Beryl a Polish gun. I like that grenade launcher on his side!!! I think its a 5.56..and I know all the stuff u mention is cool, but weapon specific.
