Hello, new member here.
Forgive me if this is not the place, but I am trying to get an idea what the value of my russian SKS rifle is. I have a co-worker who is interested in buying it.
The rifle is an arsenal refurbished model. The top reciever cover has been replaced and there is no markings on it, so I can not determine its place or date of manufacture.
This gun was purchased in 9/95.
The right side of the reciever is marked with:
1) SKS 7.62X39
2) C.D.I. SWAN, VT
3) MADE IN RUSSIA
4) CCCP61687
The left side of the reciever is marked with:
1) TY 7514 K
2) *(an image of a star)
3) 0
Also, marked with the #TY 7514 is the reciever cover, bolt, magazine and the trigger housing.
The stock is the laminated style.
The gun is in good shape. No rust. It includes the bayonet, sling, cleaning kit, owners manual, and the original box. It has had approximately 100 rounds fired through it.
If you can help that would be great. I would just like to try and get a good idea what this gun is worth. Any ideas where else I could go to get help would also be appreciated.
Thanks.
Bob
