small cal. bullet construction

Curious as to the going "belief" on .22cal bullet construction. Looking for a recomendation on .22 cal bullet between 50 and 60gn for mid range, mid size hog hunting. Very acurate rifle in .222, and has been used for this purpose with many clean 1 shot kills on hogs, deer, and misc varmints. I'm just curious to find yalls opinion on bullet type and velocity.

I used to use Hornady SX & Sierra Blitz. I had some that came apart in midair from a Ruger Mini14 Model GB.

I probably got some from a bad batch.

I switched to Nosler Solid Base bullets then the Nosler Ballistic Tip bullets when they came out. I also have some of the Nosler Solid Base hollow points left that I shoot.

For hogs it's hard to beat the 60g Nosler Partition. They are a bit pricey, but well worth the performance. I don't know about the hogs where you are, but here they get awful mad when not hit perfect with a .44, and tend to charge. With a 22 cal you'll want all the penetration you can get + expansion. If penetration is all you are after Barnes makes solids in 22 cal but I forget now how high in weight they go to.
