Other than the fine firearms they make :)

Does anyone have any links or personal information on Czech weapon laws? Assuming all my paperwork goes through (no reason it shouldn't), I am planning on study abroad there for the spring semester.

From what I have seen so far, it seems to be a fairly friendly place towards guns. From what I can tell, it also appears that anyone legally eligible to own a gun can carry one? Granted, as a student for a semester, its not my primary concern, but at the same time, can't help but think about the possibility of acquiring a CZ75 as a souvenir :)

Knives are more what I am concerned with, also any information on bordering countries/elsewhere in Europe.

"...possibility of acquiring a CZ75 as a souvenir..." It's highly unlikely you'd be able to buy any firearm on a student visa. Most European countries have very strict regulations about who can buy what. A net search for Czech gun laws should give you what you want to know. Or a phone call to their Consulate or Embassy.
The Czech Republic is part of the European Union and that throws more wrenches into your plans.
In any case, you wouldn't likely be able to import it when you come back. The ATF can tell you about that part. That's if the Czech's would let you export it, if they let you buy it in the first place. European gun laws are crazier than anything North Amnerican governments can come up with.
