I have an M&P45 with laser grips and an M&P40c (my CCW), also with laser grips. I love these guns. I was a long time Glock user and I have nothing bad to say about Glocks, but this design just takes it to the next level in my opinion. What say you?

Ditto...

I once owned two Glocks and now own five M&P's. Both of my sons also own M&P's, and my oldest no longer owns any Glocks. (It's a sickness)

I own Glocks, XDs, and an M&P. I must say the M&P is equal to either of the others. In fact I sold my G17 to fund my M&P9

They were out of Police Targets we use for centermass at 7 yards so we exchanged it for a 100 yard Small Bore Rifle target. The black area is about a foot across.

Some more ammunition orders are pending to fill this box.

I must say I have never been a fan of Glocks or S&W autoloaders. I carry a M&P40 every day for work, and I am extremely impressed. I have had no stoppages of any kind so far with about 1200 rounds through it (a couple of coworkers have, but I believe it was more their fault than the guns). I would surely consider one for personal use, but I don't have the funds right now.

I really like them. They are definatly among my favorite polymer framed handguns. The only thing I don't like about them is their crunchy trigger. Considering I like everything else about the guns I can get past that.

I would not buy a gun from any company who flat out lies about it's products.

They call the M&P a DAO. That is not just a lie it is a damn lie.

If I'm not mistaken, that is how the BATF classifies it. It's almost like the assisted pocket knives, which aren't really automatic, which is not really a switch blade.

I really enjoy all 3 of my M&P's.

Reliable, comfortable, accurate, easy to shoot, and didn't cost my left nut.

Plus, S&W has the best customer service in the business.

So,what do you think of your M&P ?

Actually the M&P 9 I own is capable of much better than [ Combat Accuracy ]as the gun mags like to say. See my post on the Dawson Precision Adjustable sight set and the shooting you can get out of the gun. I have a picture on this post of my target and what the gun looks like. No, I don't work for Dawson ,but I really like this upgrade!

I have two. I shoot them both much better than my Glock. Probably something about pointing and ergonomics. I played around a lot with the three grip panels and found that, even though I am 6'7" and have large hands (some XL gloves are too tight but I have never been able to palm a basketball), I have found that the small inserts suit me best...which I did not expect.

Both have been absolutely 100% reliable with both hollow points and hardball. I had some quality trouble with my .45's trigger which I had S&W replace and it is working great...but it never ever failed to feed, extract, or eject.

Great gun, great price, well made factory magazines, good fit and finish.

I had two...

A full size 45 and a compact 9. I still have the 9C and will probably always have it. A superb compact weapon that still has 12+1 capacity.

That full size 45? It had only one problem; it wasn't a 1911. I traded it a couple of weeks ago on a cherry 1976 Colt MKIV Series 70 Government.

I'd say I bought a new MP 9 full size. Stripped, cleaned, lubed. Took it to my outdoor range with 100 rounds. It double fed on the 99th round. Sold it. Won't get another. My Glocks have been 100%. If they fail. I'll sell them too. No bias.
BTW, the M&P is supposed to be a revolver isn't it? How very original.

I had the exact same feed jam (bullet caught going up the ramp, slide locked partially open) on my Glock 29 and my 30...both within the first 50 rounds. I kept them though and I never had any trouble after that so it could have just been a slight break in issue (Glock mags come with TIGHT springs). I have nothing but good things to say about Glocks but, in truth, I never had that problem with my M&P's. Maybe I just got lucky.

Yep, I love 1911's...unless they have Kimber stamped on them anywhere. Worst gun I ever owned was a Custom Covert II. Jammed almost every single mag.

I have Glocks and XD's. For a while I avoided the M&P because I figured I didn't need anymore Polymer guns. I finally broke down and bought a M&P 9L. From the way it fit my hand to how I can shoot it really impressed me. I am a true 1911 guy but I will probably get more of the M&P's

I't shot the M&P 9mm and its a very nice weapon.

Nice trigger, good ergonomics, accurate, good looking, and problem free. The only issue I had with it is the fact that you can't field strip it with just your hands. You have to have something small to pull the little rod out with otherwise you are stuck. A key would work though...

Great weapon.

Im not sure off hand but the base of the grip has a pin inserted behind the magazine clip. Tug on that very small triangualar part and you should have a pin to be able to change grip sizes and maybe even get that rod out.

I am not positive on that yet. Im advancing my learning each month slowly. May try that pin on the rod next time.

The little rod??? If you're talking about the one behind the mag, just twist it 90 degrees and pull it out...that is your take-down tool.
