What are y'all saving up for before the year comes to an end ? A new revolver or that new auto ? Gotta dream gun ya've been a-eyeballen and saving up for with the upcoming holiday season, or is it that y'all will just be a-get'n a pair of socks from your family for the holidays ? Maybe y'all are one of those folks that buy your own Christmas present around Halloween ? So... What's in your wallet... ? :D

My wallet is currently empty:)

A couple of days ago I finally placed my order for a Dillon 650xl with all of the trimmings. I have been saving up for it for a long time.

I want a .22 military trainer rifle,,,

I want a .22 military trainer rifle,,,
Not the CZ-452/455 trainer,,,
But a real military one.

The Wanenmachers gun show is only 6 weeks away from me,,,
And for the first time in my history I have a desire,,,
At the same time that I have the money.

I'm not interested in rifles like the H&R trainer,,,
I know they are great shooters but they don't tickle my fancy.

I want one that looks and feels like it's parent centerfire rifle,,,
My dream is to find one of the Mauser 98's in .22 LR.

If I could find one of those rifles,,
I would sell my sister to the Gypsies for the cash.

A Polish WZ-48 would be a nice one to have,,,
An Enfield in .22 LR would make me buy a .303 to mate it with.

I'll have close to a grand in my pocket come November,,,
Now all I have to do is get lucky and find something.

Aarond

Currently, I am keeping an eye on a couple of flavors of revolvers on Gunbroker. I won't mention them because I have no interest in soliciting any additional competition. ;)

In the past month, or so, I have had to walk away from an average of about 2 per week due to either the bidding passing my threshold or condition issues (pistol and/or seller).

Sooner or later I will find an acceptable pistol for an acceptable price. I am a patient man, proud to not be a member of the Instant Gratification Society. :)

My list is always growing. Some near the top these days, though, are:

Ruger Vaquero .357
EAA Bounty Hunter .22LR/.22WMR combo
S&W 460XVR
Rossi M92 .357
Something in 10mm

Not likely to be acquiring any of these before Xmas, though, as the wife and I have both bought several firearms in the last couple of months.

I'm waiting to see if HK offers rebates again this year, and if so, I may get a VP9 or P30L.

If not, then a Dillon progressive press.

Something for my wife to carry. When money got tight and bills didn't stop she was left without anything to protect herself with with me away. So as long as she doesn't want a custom Kimber or something like that, she will get something.

Of course I also want a 629, 19, lever action 357, a beretta cx4, Ruger Precision Rifle......

It's actually happening tomorrow if my lgs gets his act together. 10mm bug getting squished as well as colt bug getting squished. It's gonna cost me though.

I'm not so much saving up as figuring out what to trim down to get what I really want. I've gotten increasingly busy with life and work recently so I only shoot the guns I really like... time to trade in the stuff that doesn't get shot for a a nice 1911 or s&w 19. Figure it makes sense to have quality over quantity right now and I can always "collect" guns when I have more time and resources to enjoy them.

I figure by Christmas I'll have a concise collection and still say I've been able to own most of the common handguns. Then I'll get to unwrap a nice steel under the tree.

Well...my list isn't long but it feels right for me.

A second AR...maybe a 6.5 or 6.8...with a proper silencer and the right optics.
A 9mm auto...CZ .
A .44 mag S&W mod 29.
I could make my choice with a dart board and be happy however it was to come out.

however, it will not happen this year.

Not a matter of saving up, but another Browning Hi-Power and a couple more FEG HPs if they turn up.

After I passed on the best of the seven serpents, a perfect 6" Python for $2K, I decided to work the wish list;

So, I'm buying the gun next that I probably should have have bought first, a 6" S&W 686, the gun everyone should own:)

I recently bought a really nice Model 15 like the one I carried back in my Air Force SP days, and I'm buying a S&W 659 in beautiful condition. When nice examples of guns they ain't making anymore come available you have to move on them!

I eyeballed an Ed Brown Kobra Carry Lightweight a few months ago before getting back into 1911s. OTD $3300 new at LGS. Loved it. Couldn't afford it so I bought a Colt 1991 ($750), but then I found a DW VBOB which I couldn't live without AND less than the EB ($1500). But still too heavy, so I picked up a Colt Lightweight Commander on a trade last night (traded $800 in guns). Long-story-short...... $750+$1500+$800= $3050 and I still want the EB. Should have just bought the EB.
