I'm also interested in a slightly longer mag release and I'd like to change out the slide back plate from the scull that someone put on it to either a factory one or maybe a US flag. Not sure how involved either of those are or if the mag release is even an option.
Most everything is easy to change on a Glock.
A Ghost connector does make the trigger better IMO.

Take a good look at those +2s and make sure they're OEM. If they're aftermarket get rid of them ASAP. I had a cheap +2 mag extension come apart on me during a match last month. Sproing! Ammo and springs and bits flying everywhere. Never found the follower.

I appreciate the warning but they both look like this, I'm assuming these are factory.

Your post is just one more reason I'm a stickler for factory mags, and likely what I'll be purchasing more of.

Changing the back plate out can be done easily with your fingers. Maybe a small flathead screwdriver to lightly pry with if the thing is stubborn.

The mag release might require pliers or a dental pick. It is held in place by a straight rod that acts as the spring. The rod is nestled in a notch in the magazine release and you will need to push it to the side and out. I have never removed one (only installed them) so no idea how annoying it will be to actually get the spring up out of the notch.

Go on youtube there are tons of videos of people installing parts on their glock.

It's hard to get a clear picture of something that's that flat black that's the thing I like most about the MagPul magazines as opposed to an extension is that the magazine is one piece with a base plate instead of the magazine body and an extension, and the base plate.

I have five of the Glock 19 MagPul magazines that I've been using at the range for a year. I don't think I've had a single magazine related malfunction with them even after being dropped on the ground and kicked around in training. Based on the way they have performed I don't really have any problem using these 12 round magazines for daily carry with my 26.

The OP's pics are of a G26 Gen3, not a "4G".
That makes sense why he didn't talk about the back straps in the box then.

I'm on a phone and the only thing that I can see is a tiny Glock.
---

As far as the extended mags for the G26 go (my 26 is a 3rd gen as well) I mostly use the Glock mags that come pre-assembled from GT Distributors with the Glock OEM +2 baseplate. They don't appear to be available online at GT though. They do have them several other places on the net though. Like here ...

You could also just buy the Glock OEM +2 baseplate and insert (or you could just leave the thing alone and shoot the 10-rounders, I have those too).

Sights are on. Not a great pic...

It was dark by the time I finished so I didn't get to shoot with them but I think I'm going to like them. Will report once Ive shot some.

I used a G27 for pocket carry for several years, but that was when I weighed 470 pounds.
Since I dropped 160 pounds I've had to go to some guns that are a bit smaller.
I still like the G27 and shoot it when I have time. The recoil is a bit stiffer than a 9mm of similar proportions but it certainly isn't going to split anybody's hand open.

For Gen 3 I really like the Vickers Tactical "Tango Down" extended mag release (if they still have them). Not as long as the glock ones and slightly more rounded makes the release much easier, yet doesnt stick out so far it annoys my grip (like OEM extendeds do).

Backplates are trivially easy to replace, the mag release can be easy, or can be a pain, depending on how stubborn the rod spring thing can be to get back in its slot.

Shot about 50rds with the new sights and what a difference. First time I've used any kind of sight other than a standard 3 dot.

Also put a little grip on the front of the baseplate, and the holster finally came in.

And a little better picture of the sights. You can also see why I was asking about changing slide plates. That came on the gun and I don't like it.

You might consider swapping that slide plate out for a gadget

Definitely do something about that base plate. Can see that magnified and blown up visually in court as an indication of your “obviously evil intentions” in defending your life- if something ever went to court.

That had crossed my mind as well, but I mainly just don't like it.

A stock black one will likely find it's way back once I find one.

You could swap the stock mag release and/or slide lock release intended for a gen 3 G34. This is an easy and inexpensive upgrade. On my G26 I found that the G34 mag release is a little too big and made it too easy to release the magazine when holstering. I think you could fir\le it dowm a little and be happy though. The slide lock release upgrade is worth making. If you do this and your G26 is a gen 3 use only gen 3 parts. Gen 4 and 5 are different and will not work.

And if anyone has a line on a good place to get cheap factory mags online that'd be appreciated too...

You can grab Glock Factory mags on the cheap f($22.00 + shipping per) at Gun Mag Warehouse right now.

Also give some serious thought to swapping out the factory polymer sights for a good set of steel night sights. Personally I go for a Wilson Combat plain black Battlesight rear and a front night sight.
