Something new from S&W...

The grip does seem to be too big compared to the slide, but I wouldn't let that stop me from buying it if it's accurate, reliable, shoots well, etc.

I can't argue with that.
I have to say the gun intrigues me. It seems to be, essentially, a S&W version of the Para Ordnance Warthog.

I was thinking it was more of a double-stacked SIG P938. Definitely has the double-stacking Warthog gene though!

The more I look at it - S&W product/handling video and takedown video, the more interesting it seems to me. It looks smaller than I expected. I can see some folks might be tired of all polymer all the time, all metal frames have an appeal. Also - they seem to be including the reported fastest growing gun purchaser segment - women - with this from the spec sheet: "Interchangeable, textured backstraps including small and extra small sizes for better concealability".

Things I wonder - does it have a FP block, and having the safety-blade trigger kind of suggests some people might be expected to carry it condition 0. The weight and thickness of the backstrap would tend to reduce felt recoil...
