I'm looking into making / buying a new gun, but I'm a little hung up on the purpose of a few rifles. This is what I keep coming up with.
Rifle: The standard from which the alternatives come. Probably the most versatile.
Carbine: Shorten version of a rifle, close range (for a rifle) and quick.
SPR: Between a carbine and a rifle. Able to make longer range shots than a carbine.
DMR: semi-auto sniper system, usually not as accurate or far reaching as a bolt gun, but quick follow-up shots.
It seams like the SPR fills a role between the 3?
