Recently on the 27th of Dec my trigger bar on my XD service model broke, it was at 19,099rds. This is not the first time that this has happened, it did it before at 4,230rds. On the 28th i called and they emailed me a shipping label, and i dropped it off at Fed EX that day. I received the gun back today (6 Jan 2011). Talk about fast service. I asked for them to fix the broken part, which they did, also they replaced the trigger bar spring, they gave me a new recoil spring assembly, which i asked for. but get this they gave me a brand new barrel. I kinda liked my old barrel though, still shot great and had the look of almost 20,000rds through it, but i will not complain about a new barrel for no cost to me.

Buy with confidence from SA.

Again I am impressed with their service to customers. More so this time than last.

This is the exact reason I decided to buy a SA 1911 as my first. I've never heard anything but good things about Springfield CS.

Put another 20,000 thru that thing. Happy shooting!

Just bought an XDm in 9mm. Glad that i will be able to shoot the snot out of it with confidence :)

Springfield CS is one of the reasons why I have contemplated trading in my finicky Kimber in on a SA 1911, iv'e dealt with Kimber and been frustrated. Their CS is another reason why I went with an XDm 40 3.8,that and I loved the way the XDm felt compared to my Glock.

I have heard all good from them, thats why we have a pair of EMPs incoming, one in 9mm, one in .40 S&W

I agree, great customer service. I don't feel too comfortable with my XD45 service model's performance, though. I had to send it back for FTE malfunctions after only about 700 rounds with varying performance. Ejector replaced by factory, no charge, got the gun back within 2 weeks. Like I said, no problem with CS, but as far as trusting the gun to perform under SD stress, if it is not obvious, I am not carrying it...

My SA experience

I called to order a standard recoil spring plug for my "Loaded" 1911. (Wanted to replace the full-length guide rod with a standard GI set up - so I needed the plug without the hole in the end.) What I received was an exact replacement for the plug I already had - with the hole for the FLGR. I e-mailed back and explained there was some miscommunication regarding what I wanted. They sent the correct part immediately at no charge and did not request I return the wrong one. (That's not a big deal, I guess. Of course an inexpensive part and not worth the cost to re-inventory.)

When I e-mailed back thanking them and touched again on the reason I was ordering it, they sent me the GI recoil spring guide at no charge. Maybe not a big deal, I guess - another inexpensive part - but they did ship it at their additional expense. I felt they handled the original requests well and this was definitely above and beyond what was required or expected of them. Sometimes the little things do count, because they are so often overlooked by the poor- or even average-performing companies.

SA CS is second to none. The plunger tube came loose on my full sized loaded 1911 and it was locking up the safety. Also the rear sight wouldn't stay put. I sent it to them on their nickel and it was back on my doorstep in 8 days. Everything was fixed no questions asked. That's why I bought the Champion Loaded too. Any company with that kind of CS gets my business.

I've only had great experiences with Springfield Customer Service. They modified a "pile" of 1911 parts into a very functional pistol for me.

What's of interest is their smiths did not want to put on the finish I wanted because they were concerned that the slide would lose the Colt markings, something which had not occurred to me.

They also installed better sights than I planned and tuned the trigger to near perfection...all complimentary.

I highly recommend SA.

Impressive service! Every company should treat their customers this way.
Thanks for sharing your stories, it will be on my mind when I go to the next gun show.

My XD9 has way more than 5000 rounds through it and works great. My 1911 is going in for service this upcoming week. I have heard only good things and mean very happy with all their products.

I glad to hear all the great CS stories about SPRINGFIELD ARMORY!

I've NEVER heard of anyone complain about their weapons or their Customer Service! :D

This is only one reason I'm considering the XDM COMPACT for carry. :what:
