Posted by SharpDressedMan: Retreat is sometime the wisest tactic. Sometimes it is cowardice.

What are you if you ... run away a coward and find it hard to live with yourself afterwards?
Make no mistake about it: "honor" is not a justification for the use of force. Period.

And has been said many times, the "school solution" here is ADEE.

As Bubba613 put it, "The point is not to establish bravery. The point is to get home safely."

Anyone who cannot understand that or will not accept it should not carry a weapon.

Just want to mention that if you find it hard to live with yourself after your actions in a critical incident - legit therapeutic options exist. Police and military are now seeing the need for such.

Books by Klinger, Artwhol, Laurence Miller have accessible reads about how LEOs deal with such.

Of course, if you are dead - most therapies have a low success rate.

It is your choice if self image is an important choice in your grand strategy of living.

If you stand your ground and do it according to the law, justifiable.
If you stand your ground and don't do it according to the law, you should stand trial for it, period.

Just my .02,
LeonCarr
