For the bowhunters out there, what are you using for hogs. I currently have some easton gold tip arrows and muzzy 100gr broadheads and was nervous on using this on hogs due to the lite weight. Should I move to a heavier broadhead, or maybe one with only two blades? What about arrows, would my old aluminum lincoln logs work better. Ranges that I'm looking at would be 30yds max

If your getting pass through shots now on deer then you have enough power and i gave up on fancy tips some time back. NO new latest and greatest. I still try a different brand from time to time but all are cut on contact head. I have a fairly stout bow and shoot close to 300fps at 64lbs pull and use a 3 blade 100 gr cut on contact heads on every thing. Now i did change to graphite 5 years ago and have the same shafts but lots of guys still shot aluminum. Some like heavier arrows but you can change the tip wieght of your arrow to much with out haveing to change shafts too. Is you shoot 100gr now you most likely could move up to 125gr but stop buy your locqal bow proshop and talk to the bow dealer about arrow wieght and tip. A 45 lbs bow will work if you stay in closer.

I shoot a 70lbs, I'd had pass throughs an all put 2 deer. One at 55yds where I hit the back shoulder blade, and one at 20yds (hit front shoulder blade and changed route of arrow into the other shoulder blade where it got stuck. I shoot a hoyt cybertec, so the speed should be there, and I use fixed blades only (I've seen mechanicals fail).
