I put a 4-16 power scope on my Gamo .177 Shadow yesterday. It took a UTG high profile scope mount as the scope is a AO.
I was shooting on my 105 yard range hitting a steel gong 4 inches wide by 7 inches tall repeatedly with the right pellets. I wasn't shooting for accuracy per say but rather just to hear the ring.
I will repaint the steel and see what kind of groups I get. I was using JSB Exact, RWS Diabolo, Crosman Wadcutter and Beeman Coated HP. I had the best luck with JSB and RWS and the least repeatability with Beeman Coated HP. Crosman was somewhere in the middle.
I was pretty happy being able hit the plate seeing as the trigger is the worst I have ever used.
Any one else shoot theirs farther at targets? If so I might try 120 yards and see what happens.
