Your right, but I've a couple of Smiths in semi and I haven't been very happy, they were traded away pretty quickly. But in fairness I've haven't had one of these, I'll leave it in the list for now.
did you have a 3rd gen? nobody makes 'em like that anymore. the 5906 is thoroughly unlike any modern smith semi-auto, and is probably the finest all steel high cap 9mm of all time. better da/sa trigger than any sig or h&k, very low recoil, comfortable grip, dead nuts reliable... they're really great.
i own a bunch of service 9mm's. the 5906 is my favorite. beats out pistols such as my m9 clone, 226, and fnx9.
I've read good things about the PPQ, but I wouldn't sell any CZ's for one. Not to mention they are almost as ugly as Glocks, actually maybe even more ugly. Maybe someone should start a poll.
I wouldn't sell a CZ for one, but I really like shooting my Steyr M9-A1. And it is by far the ugliest pistol ever made. But it shoots so good that I'm able to over look it's Clydesdale like nose.
