Surplus Tokarev Ammo - too hot?

My brother bought some 7.62mm Tokarev ammo. I read somewhere that some of the surplus ammo was produced for submachine guns and is therefore too hot to be fired from pistols. What about the ammo my brother bought? Is it safe to use it in a Norinco Tokrev? What does "Pisztoly Loszer" mean?

If you look up the word Pisztoly on the internet, it shows Hungarian websites, so I am going to guess that is Hungarian ammo.

EDIT: I cant find any evidence we here in the US ever got any Hungarian 7.62x25, and I saw something referring to a Hungarian PPSh drum, so some of the Hungarian ammo may be subgun ammo, and you may never hear anything about it on a mostly American visited website.

Sorry, I know thats not much help! If you are going to try it out, maybe get some proven pistol ammo and compare the two over a chronograph or something??

It is Hungarian, and perfectly fine for any 7.62x25 handgun or SMG you might have.
Fabian, I don't know where you are, but I would like to get that box. Empty is fine, but preferably not torn. I have 4 or 5 other Hungarian boxes, but not that label style. Please PM or e-mail me if we can arrange something.

I used those in my 1947 Russian Tokarev, and the recoil was mild but the muzzle tilt was quite noticible, and I was having a hard time keeping the gun leveled when firing... I then wore leather gloves, and the balance was much improved. My Tok has not exploded... yet. Accuracy was kinda off... no where near the nail-driving Luger made 30 years prior.
