Taurus 709 Slim - opinions???

I got all of my extra mags from Midway. You can backorder them and they seem to show up on a regular basis. I've heard you can also order them directly form Taurus.

I'll admit I was quite nervous buying my 709 (got the stainless because it had 2 mags with it). Had never owned a Taurus auto before, just an old 85 and 941 w/ bright ss finish .22 Mag 941. The 709 is really nice to carry/shoot. No problems with it.

I had one of the first ones when they came out back in 2009 and over a few years put in about 6000 problem free rounds through mine with the original recoil spring assembly; about 10-15% of those being +P ammo. I ended up selling it to a LEO with him knowing that it had 6000 problem free rounds through it. He thanked me for breaking it in for him. Last time I saw him, he still had it as a backup. A lot of the low price Taurus items on-line come with only one magazine.

Call to confirm before ordering. After-market Taurus mags can be hard
to come by.
