Hello!
I am a 29 year old male. I'm new here. I've been shooting my entire life.
I bought a PT145 Pro a few months ago. I loved the feel and I have always wanted a .45. I've been a GLOCK man for a few years now but I've shot many Taurus pistols and I have loved them.
Anyway, after a cleaning the gun I shot about 75 rounds through it. It stovepiped about 2-3 times. I was using Winchester FMJ plinking rounds. I figured I was limp wristing it. Then a few days later I went to chamber a round and the round got stuck! I was using Winchester FMJ hollowpoints. A few weeks later the same thing happened. The slide would not close and the round got stuck below the ramp.
Immediately I figured that the hollowpoints were the problem. So I took the pistol back out and shot another 50 rounds through it using plinking rounds once again. Yet again the pistol started to stovepipe. I also tried a buddy's blazer rounds and the same thing happened. Then guess what? A blazer round got stuck against the clip somehow and the slide once again would not close when I went to chamber it!
Now understand that I carry a GLOCK 27. I know a gun prone to misfeeding if not held properly. I assure you that at least on the 2nd 50 rounds, I was holding the gun tight and properly.
Should I send this thing off or just get rid of it? Has anyone had similar problems? I DO NOT TRUST this weapon anymore and it sits in my safe now collecting dust which is a shame.
