The SR 22 is a fine .22. The TX22 is a fine .22. You will enjoy shooting either or both. The Taurus is cheaper, if that's a consideration. I find the TX22 more fun. you get six or seven additional pew-pews per magazine.

I'll stick with a Buckmark. I owned one before, and I plan to buy one again for my son.

I have a TX-22 I bought several weeks ago and have about 800 rounds through it and it is an absolute blast to shoot. I put a TruGlo Tru-Tec Green Dot Optic on it with a Lakeline optic plate and honestly it makes me feel like an assassin. It will hit dead center at 25 yds without issue. I'm so glad I bought this gun. The amount of people at the range who keep asking what I'm shooting is crazy. I recommend this pistol 110%.

I'll add my own experience to this thread. I have probably almost 1200rds thru mine now. It runs great with cheap Remington Golden Bullets. Just a few feed issues with them. Only ammo issues ive had were with CCI Copper 22s, only ran about 50 but a lot kept stove piping for some reason then after half the mag was gone it ran fine. Today I ran some 250 rds of Aguila Super Extra thru it. Had quite a few feed issues were the rounds nose dived and jammed on the feed ramp. Ive ran Aguila Colibri thru it as well but had to hand rack each load but no issues as long as I was quick with it.

After the first range session i found the accuracy went away, when I got home I found the rear sight came loose. Tighten it up and adjusted the sights in, I get pretty decent groups now for someone with shaky hands.

I love how it feels in my hand, the 16 round magazines and that the magazines were $20 each. The trigger is awesome, as a new gun owner it makes me understand what a good trigger should be. The reset is very audible and you can feel a positive reset. I bought it locally new for $260, cheapest new gun I've bought this year, I love it enough that I want a 2nd one in FDE, so im keeping an eye out.

I have an M&P .22 Compact and a Beretta Neos as well, the TX22 is my preferred range gun. Haven't shot a Glock 44 yet, been tempted to rent one just to try.

In .22, I have a Buckmark, 5 Beretta 71s, a Beretta 101, HD Military, S&W 317, and recently decided I needed a new one. My calculations led me to the KelTec P17. Gotta say it was an excellent decision.....super pistol, cheaper than the Taurus, and a much better rep for customer service.

I've had mine for about a year, I was really down on Taurus after the Millennium recall debacle, but the G2C I eventually got turned out to be a solid gun, cheap enough to be perfect for the truck. I liked the idea of a .22 that handles like a defensive gun, so when I found one at a very nice price at a gun show, I got it.

Couldn't be happier. My TX22 sees about 200 rounds a month through it. Not a single issue of any kind so far with all the bilk pack ammo I've tried. I've only cleaned it once, after the first or second outing just to check it out. I want to see how long it goes before choking on something.
