Tell me about your S&W 1911s

can't see how an extractor, internal or external, could have much to do with a slide not going into battery. the extractor only holds the base of the round against the breachface as the slide carries it forward from the mag to the chamber.

Don't judge the SW1911 by the problems with a kimber. Now, if S&W would just make me a 3 1/2" barrel lightweight 1911, I'd be happy. Been eyeballing the Colt Defender (or Officers LWT) if I can find one at a decent price.

Ive had no problems with mine function wise has about 500 though it i think with get a ton more though itn two weeks when im on vaction
