So I literally had to turn around and walk out of my local gun shop last night after spotting a brand new Beretta 92FS with three magazines for $499 before the Beretta $50 mail in rebate. :what:

We've had to cut our family budget pretty drastically for reasons that aren't relevant to this thread, so there was no way I could justify buying that gun. But I wanted it so bad!

Now I settled down tonight for a relaxing evening of Guns and Ammo TV on the DVR, and they're featuring an entire firing line of our men in uniform unloading their M9s downrange. Thanks, guys! :banghead:

Bummer, I know what you mean. I've had my eye on a Socom 16 for quite sometime now but we're not in the financial position for me to even buy a used one. Someday. In the mean time I'm enjoying what I do have.

Been there. Good for you for remembering what's important! Family always has to come before toys, regardless of how much we want them.

Oh, I know the feeling. I've turned down some deals on reloading equipment as of late because of some upcoming doctor/surgeon bills I know I'll have in the family.

At least you have your priorities straight!

Seeing more and more deeply discounted stuff. Save your money for a time the recession has turned the corner; hope it hasn't taken the wrong corner but depending on the region pawn shops are doing well?

Mr. Davis

You did the right thing as family matters must always come first. When money is short material objects don't even make the list in that regard. Better to fight temptation today than to give in to regret tomorrow.
