Not much to do this weekend so I was going thru one of my gun cabinets cleaning and reminiscing a few of my acquisitions over the last 40+ years...

as I was pulling each one down and remembering the cost, parts and elbow grease I put into each one, I realized that the person who owned each one before me "BUBBA" must have known nothing about proper gun upkeep or maintenance, just bought em, shot em, then got rid of em when the shooting end got old. I LOVE BUBBA.
Most of my acquisitions were not working or broken but easily repaired and then polished and sanded back to perfection...or at the very least, "my perfection" at a very reduced cost.
I have been very lucky to find and rebuild all of my fine collection and I have to admit, I could not have done it without BUBBA.
I even love Bubba's Mother and Father, because without them, there would be no more Bubba's for me to buy old guns from and fix em up.
The following recent gun purchases are a ODE TO BUBBA...

Drool.

I have some similar stories. One time I got three handguns in exellent shape from someone who was moving to England permanently.

Ha, I'm moving to either the Philippines or Thailand permanently, and will have to do the same with all my firearms.

:rofl::rofl:...now thats a BUBBA for sure...
For sure... They really BUBBA'd the crap out of those two pistols. I don't know what they were thinking.

Fine looking guns, Mr, Zartman.

I have managed to turn some guns into nice ones for little money thanks to bubbas and don't give a crap how it treated owners. The very best was a Winchester 69A that looked like it had spent years bouncing around in the bed of a farmer's or cowboy's pickup. It's collector's value is nill but It's a very nice little rifle now after spending a lot of hours work and enjoying every one of them. I care nothing about what it is worth. It will go to my son and it's the rifle he carried on many a jack rabbit hunt when still a kid and he credits it with him being able to shoot expert on his very first range trip after joining the army so it's special to him.
