Every Thanksgiving for the last 20+ years, a group of us relatives and friends, make our way up into the mountains to a special place where we usually hunt, but on this day, we drive straight up there, maybe bust a few quail or tree squirrels on the way (35 miles up a dirt road to the 5,500 foot level w/4x4's)............ Once there, we have a pan fried breakfast over a fire ring. Iron skillets, eggs, bacon, toast, venison, elk, sausage, quail, etc. Set up some targets for the youngins......... then race back to town to have turkey dinner.

What's your Thanksgiving tradition?

this year my pro gun boss and his kinda liberal wife are coming out to learn about guns.

it seems the current ah, political situation has made his wife rethink her views on gun ownership.:D

thanksgiving

The wife and I had dinner at my son's house.Whole family was there

Dinner w/ the kids/grandkids then home to put the first Christmas music of the season on. Kenny G miracles inherited from mom on my old Kenwood stereo inherited from dad listening right now:(

Good on ya all

Such a great day to get together with family and friends and reflect on what we have.

We had my wifes family here at the farm and the men went out and shot clays early in the morn and then had a great Thanksgiving dinner. The men cleaned up after dinner- followed by a little wine and a nap. Life is good!

I came back home and my buddy and I went turkey hunting yesterday. We started target shooting and forgot about the turkeys... :)

We had both acquired too many cool firearms recently to resist showing them off and shooting them. The high point of the day for me was when we were sighting in his new 30-06 for the upcoming deer season. I shot a mag of .45 from my new 1911 from 100 yards and hit 1" left of the bull with one round.

Today we just ate too much, sat on the couch, complained about it.

Dinner at my sisters last night. Dinner at In-Laws today. Dinner at Mom's Saturday. Tommorow (Friday) I'm meeting up with my cousin and main shooting partner and lifelong best friend at Clear Creek Furnace shooting range at 0-early thirty for a day of fun. As fase 3 said "Life is good."

Had my sisters family over, deep fried a turkey, ate way to much. then I took my brother in-law and his sons out to shoot my kimber and new j-frame, none of them had ever been shooting before. My brother in-law loved it so much we're all going down to the local hardware store to look at guns tommorrow (hope there's something decent left in the gun case).

I spent the day at a friend's house who owns a range. His house and range are next to each other. So after dinner we had a bullseye match. And then we shot steel plates until dark. Overall, an excellent Thanksgiving.

I hope everyone on THR had a nice day with friends and family.

went up to moms house and brought the .22 rifle with me along with 200 rounds of Tracer ammo.

We were busting pumpkins with tracers out to 150 yards and havin a blast!

My sister actually said..."I want one of these!"

Ate two huge turkey meals and a too much punkin pie.

Thanksgiving:
A few beers.
Watch the Lions get roasted like a bunch of 30 lb turkeys (I'm from Detroit so I can bash them!)
Partake in some fine dining.
Today:
Go to work for a spell.
Head to the local range with the little lady blast through 100+ rounds.
Partake in some more fine dining and, no doubt, a few more beers!
