What are your Thanksgiving gun related plans?

I have non-specific plans to set in the woods or fence rows and watch critters over the extended weekend. If a big buck interrupts my naps I may turn him into table fare.

I have to work. I'd rather be hunting whitetails in the morning with my dad in law. He is an awesome American. Combat vet, a newly ordianed minister, and the father of the prettiest woman I have ever seen. So I'll give thanks, but won't be in the stand. But my thoughts will be in the deer woods.

Thursday : Eat turkey. Epoxy a support stand for a camcorder (to increase strength) I plan on using as a spotting scope. (Have to cut into the stand to make clearance for the camcorder. Using JB Weld which I will use for bedding compound on some rifles.)
Friday : Drive down to Champion Shooters near Columbus, OH to buy at least one case of SK Match .22 lr before the price increase and for National Ammo Day/Week.
Saturday : Range. Zero the iron sights of my newest Kimber 82G. Zero the scope and test adjusted iron sights of my recently purchased Marlin Model 60, function fire my WASR-10 GP somemore after modding the disconnect to remove trigger slap. Possibly test out my new Browning T-Bolt after finally getting a set of rings for it.
Sunday : Rest up to return to work on Monday after a week's worth of vacation.

Since I have to work, my plans involve putting my XD on my belt when I leave for work. Taking it off when I get to work. Putting it back on when I leave. Taking it off again when I get home.

Then doing it all over again tomorrow.

Now Yesterday, I was off. I spent the morning squirrel hunting.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Best of wishes to you and yours this Thanksgiving day! May we all take the time to reflect upon the many blessings given to us by our Creator.

I made a payment yesterday on my Detonics 9-11-01 in layaway. I will probably clean my XD9 that I shot with my wife the other day.

Well...I had yesterday off work, so I started the task of organizing my reloading bench and gear locker. I think this is a project that I have procrastinated on for a while and it has gotten a bit out of hand. Today will be spent with family. Tomorrow I'll hopefully finish this project and get out to do some shooting over the weekend.

Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

:)

I went goose hunting this morning, it was my first time and it was awesome. I got the daily bag limit of two...I wish it were more.

Later, I plan on eating a huge lunch/dinner type of thing with the family.

Today: Do some work and cleaning around the house. Hit the gas station and go to Walmart. Cook a roast and call it Thanksgiving dinner (I hate turkey).

Tomorrow: Hit some black Friday sales later in the morning. Try to find a Tom Tom One GPS for $120 if they're still around. Hit the new Harbor Freight that just opened up.

Saturday: NW Arkansas gun show and bum around Sportsman's Warehouse and the various pawn shops down that way.

Sunday: Local coin show.

Umm, THR and carry my CCW, that's about it. Maybe drool at something on Gunbroker. Already been on 10mmtalk.com.

Happy Thanksgiving

have to work all weekend, will get home in time to see end of lions game:uhoh:, help with dinner, have a beer, more football, feed chickens, no deer to take care of yet:(. all of you have a thankful day:)

Today: Eat Turkey and other great stuff
Tomorrow: Scout some hunting grounds for a new trail in.
Sat: Shoot my first deer.

Back early. Here's a breakfast pic.
Deer sausage, elk, bacon, quail, eggs, pan fried toast and ATV's.
The quail were from this morning's hunt.

Tomorrow, I pick up my new Handi-Rifle in 223 with a bull barrel. Sunday, I plan putting about 150 rounds through it and 500 rounds through my 22s.

Well, this morning & afternoon family dinner. Bison tenderloin, pheasant, goose, egg noodles, three kinds of potatoes, homemade rolls, homecanned green beans, corn and peas. Five different kinds of jellies (also homemade) plus pies, cakes and brownies.

Tomorrow the men are going deer hunting. I've insisted my husband use the double barrelled .69 caliber muzzle loader. That way he only has to get close and the wind from the conical slug will knock the animal down and I won't have to tan a hide with holes in it. :D

Just spent a couple of hours burning rounds with my oldest son, and 3 of my nephews. Busted a few pumpkins, a few water filled bottles, punched some holes in paper and just generally had a lot of fun. We shot 30-06, 308, .243, 7.62 x 54, and some .22.

Ate my Turkey, stuffing, rolls, mashed tators and gravy, Yams with marshmallows, and lots of Cranberry Salad.

Cleaned up and took a nap.

Tomorrow, maybe rakes some leaves.

Saturday, NWA Gun show to see about those Beanie Babies. (Just Kidding).

Maybe Sunday some trigger time. :^)
