Every year for the last 25+ years, a few close relatives & freinds head up into the mountains for an early morning campfire breakfast, pan fried toast, quail, deer sausage, elk, bacon, eggs and all the fixings.

We road hunt for quail and other game on the way up. Let the kids shoot guns, scoot around on ATV's then hustle back to town for an afternoon dinner.

All I did was prep some rifle brass and load 50 rounds of 9mm before we went over to a buddy's house for turkey and such. Wife got sick and we had to leave...maybe I'll load some more in a bit.

Gave my sister-in-laws significant other who I think is on ok guy, (he's into guns), an antique looking ammo box and an enbloc clip (he has a garand), both that I found on the side of a local mountain. The best way to show thankfulness is to share what you have with others.

I took the opportunity to shoot the .36 navy blackpowder revolver, and the brother in law and I had some fun, him with a glock 21, and me with a combat commander....first times had shot the commander more than a mag or two, and other than a few mag related issues from the ACT mag I was using cause its all i had on me, it shot great.

Tried to see if a spare mag would fit in a flashlight holster I bought.

Yup. Perfect.

Me and my boys went out deer hunting till about noon. Had a nice 8 inches of fresh snow which is somewhat of a rarity in southwest lower Michigan. Made for some nice tracking and better memories. My oldest now has his own and my youngest is off to college next year so the days of just grabbing them and heading to the woods is coming to a close but the good times will never fade.

While we were in the outdoor spaw watching the Steeler game I trashed talked my son into a shooting match tomorrow with .357magnums at 25yds that he is definitely going to loose.

HE DOESN'T THINK SO BUT WE'LL SEE.

I told him he can pick up my shells for me if he does ok.

It will be fun to say the least.

gbran, cool day of activities.

I spent some time decreasing the entropy of my reloading room (tidied up for the non-rocket scientists in the group:)).

Spent some time over turkey making plans with my friend for our prairie dog hunt next summer.

Worth while endeavors, just not real exciting.

I am wondering if someone could help me out when it comes to identifying a tokorev 54 1966 gun

Is it supposed to have 3 Chinese symbols on top and this gun has an A near the trigger guard

I awoke to the sound of a neighbor blasting away with one of his guns. I thought, "ahh, that's the sound of freedom" and then rolled over and went back to sleep.
