Thanksgiving Tradition

Every year a bunch of us relatives, kids and friends head up to the mountains early for an outdoor pan-fried breakfast.... eggs, deer sausage, apple-smoked bacon, backstraps, misc. game meat, pan-fried toast. Do a little bit of hunting on the way up and back. Mostly quail, tree rats and some varmints.

I bagged 8 quail, 3 of them huge mountain quail. Will eat them and traditional turkey dinner in about 2 hours.

looks like a great time! my family and i are all farmers, yu can barely get them to stop working long enuf to eat thanksgiving dinner. the woodsmoke does make breakfast taste better dont it?
