I'm going to be sending my gun in for work and thinking of changing the look somewhat. I like The grips by Ajax in either Ivory Polymer or White Pearlite. This is a blue 92FS. I'm also considering either getting a stainless steel trigger with one of these grips too -- or leaving the whole gun blued with one of the mentioned grips to make it stand out more. Not sure which pimp gun arrangement would look best. Suggestions? :p

BTW, in case you're wondering, "What the heck is she thinking?" I got the idea after surfing Italy's Beretta page and saw the 98FS Limited Edition. This is a blue gun, engraved, with some type of white grips. Obviously, I can't afford $5,000 so I thought I could try to make my gun somewhat like it....

You can take a look at Taurus' website as a reference:

This one still looks kinda pimpy with the gold accents but wood grips. I think the white grips clash too much on a black gun.

I think if you want pimp and the gun is black, you should try to have someone Titanium Nitride the accents....

I saw that actually! I think the gold look kind of pushes it a tad; it's a lot for the eyes to take in. The 98 Limited Edition Deluxe seems more toned down -- but then the screws, trigger and small parts are all blued like the gun on that model. The only obvious difference is the engraving and grips.

I prefer wood grips but would not appreciate imitation wood grips. If you admire the "ivory look". Why not save the cash and buy ivory instead of plastic imitation ivory? There are even horn and bone grips that come close to the look of ivory. It's a personal thing, I dislike imitation and plastic.

Thanks for the replies. The reason I don't want to nickel the gun is because I like the gun blue as it is, and I'm considering the imitation ivory because I'm an animal lover. No animals should have to die just because I want to decorate my gun....

I do like the idea of the pearlite grip with a stainless trigger....still mulling it over as I have time yet before I send the gun off. :)

Did the chrome look on my compacts -- slide and barrel. Is that a pimp thing? Looks like a two-tone Sig really....:) So far it seems the pearlite white/stainless trigger option is going to be the winner according to the polls. I like the look myself. :D

Never saw that film. I'm into Hong Kong action flicks: Anita Mui, Leslie Cheung, Simon Yam, Chow Yun Fat, Brigitte Lin, Tony Leung - both of them, etc...

I guess I'd be guilty as charged for pimping my Beretta -- or maybe it's just a girl thing? I like my guns to look pretty.

Oracle -- I've seen the Taurus guns. They're nice to look at but at the same time -- a little too much with the gold/pearl combination -- so yeah, you're right -- this would be the winner for the pimp gun of the year...

I think I've decided on the stainless trigger/pearlite grip...thanks folks! :D

The Taurus in that last picture needs to be set next to a polished marble sink with a polished chrome/gold accent Kohler faucet. Now that's pimpin'. :D

Yep, that Taurus is a pimp gun for sure, but to be a real pimp gun it should be much smaller and chambered in a real power house round such as 25 ACP or 32 ACP! Ravens are pretty good for pimp guns, since most seem to be chrome plated and about as shiney as the bumper of '57 Chevy!
