Awesome Jeff!

By the way, I modified the mag brakes in my guns last night. Took a dremel to the little thing that hooks into the mainspring plunger and cut it off. I couldn't stand it. Now they drop free just fine.

By the way, any one know where I can get a few little mainspring plunger thingies that have the lanyard loop on them? I want one or two for my CZs.

My New Ammo Glut.......

OK. I'm now offically a new member!! Here's my new ammo glut. Ran 100 rounds through it yesterday and it shoots like a dream. Can't get over how CZ remembers the details.....plenty of oil on everything, included a couple of blank rounds and replacement "caps" for dry firing and a "mag loader" that I didn't figure out what it was for until I'd hand loaded 100 rounds!! They know how to treat their customers! Just call me the OleCodger with a New Toy.......well, she ain't a toy, she means business!!!!!.......:D

Thanks Deer Hunter.

I hear ya olecodger, I was impressed with the little doo-dads that came with my P-01. Glad you like your new 75. I just ordered some new grip screws for mine from brownells upon the recommendation of CZF. When I disassembled mine to give it its first cleaning, I took the grips off to clean behind them and noticed how soft the grip screws seemed and it looked like the heads could easily be stripped. It was 3.95 for the grip screws, the shipping was twice that I think:rolleyes:

Jeff, I've requested some pricing on some new Cocobolo grips for mine and if it doesn't come back $200.00, I'll probably bite and hope maybe new screws will be included! I know that Hogue includes them with their grips....This money thing never ends does it??!!

Ha, nope, it doesn't. Where are you looking into getting grips from? I'd be interested to know what you find. I'd like to put some wood on mine some day.

Pricing form the above site.......looks like it may be the same as you referenced in your note.......they have some absolutely beautiful carving on the ones that I'm looking at. Unless they are doing it with automated machines, I'm afraid that they will be mighty labor intense and that will probably jump the price out of my reach.

I got my CZ P01 about 3 weeks ago, NIB for $543 through a friend with a FFL. The date on the target included with my P01 was Feb 14, 2008 which brings up the question, if it was manufactored immediately prior to test firing, where are all the P01's built in the last year. For recent P01 buyers, what is the newest/oldest test fire date. Checked out Buds this morning and every CZ in 9mm is out of stock.

I'll check my target when I get home. I know the one that I bought had been sitting in the gun shop for quite a while before I bought it. No one around here seems that interested in CZs from what the guy behind counter said.

I placed my order, then immediately realized I ordered the full checkered instead of the half-checkered that I meant to order. I called them up and the woman I spoke to was really friendly, changed my order and that was that. Good customer service.

From the tone of your "uh", we have different tastes! Haven't ordered them, waiting on a price but if it's within what ever "reason" is, planning to add them to my collection......:D

By the way Squirrel, have you noticed that finally after weeks of blood, sweat and tears, I finally discovered how to post a picture? I was mountain climbing over mole hills.......sorta like flying a Boeing 747, easy if you know how!

Squirrel, FYI, those grips are "modern art"......gotta use your imagination. That is a picture of a rabbit sitting on the tail feathers of a blue jay in a briar patch perchance you aren't an art lover.........:neener:

Olecodger, would you mind letting us know what the price quote is for the hand carved grips when you get it? Just for future reference? I'm interested, although the cocobolo half-checkered I ordered today should hold me over for a while :)

Jeff, will do. I thought I might have a response back today but I guess that I was dreaming. Will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.......
