DH.......

I'm not really sure what part you're describing there!! Brownell's is my source of springs but I don't think that's what you're looking for???????

Deer Hunter, I'm looking but can't find them anywhere. I've checked czcustom, brownells, midway, so far no luck.

I have one on my 'Tactical' CZ. Had to buy one from the CZ factory
some years ago.

Jeff....

Jeff, as you requested, below is the response that I received back from Omega. The way that I interpret it, would cost $128 plus shipping and insurance. I'm going to have to save up some more pennies before I order but will probably end up buying them.....:)

Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for the interest to my work and you kind words.

I'll be happy to provide you with custom grips your CZ deserves.

The basic grips will cost $90 plus cost of wood. Cocobolo - $8, carving - $30

Time frame is about 8 weeks.

If you want to proceed with the order I have a few questions for you:

What kind of wood would you like to have on your gun?

http://www.czgrips.us/woods.htm

What style/top do you like most?

http://www.czgrips.us/styles & designs.htm

How small/large is your hand?

How long are the fingers?

Are you right handed?

How do you hold the gun?

High grip? Medium?

Do you carry this gun in a holster?

When you shoot does your thumb go down toward your middle finger or parallel the slide?

Could you please send me a picture of your hand holding the gun (one-handed grip) taken from the left side (if you are right handed), so I could see your grip.

Sorry for so many questions - it helps me to make really custom grips, as I don't believe in "one size fits all".

Shipping via first class USPS with delivery confirmation and insurance is $6

After my PayPal account was closed for selling 15 round magazine the only form of payment is money order.

Thank you,

Omega

Omega grips are very nice!

Ole Codger, thanks for the response. The response you received sounds like top-notch customer service. Hopefully you can get the ones that you wanted. When you do, be sure to post pics!

CZF, those are absolutely beautiful! I've always loved wood. Why people PAINT it instead of leaving it natural is beyond me!! What wood is that? You're gonna be making me change my mind on my original choice!

Jeff, you're welcome.......maybe we can encourage each other to go ahead and blow next month's car payment on a nice set of grips.............

After shooting the '75, I've about decided that I also need thin grips.......that '75 is a handful! Sure like those 16 round mags.......can go through $100 worth of ammo in about 12 1/2 minutes flat!....

Make me a member

Go ahead and add me to the list.

I used to carry a J frame airweight until my wife told me that she had a dream that I needed more capacity( you know what I mean)...

The ensuing quest took me to a model 75 compact and I will never look back.

Everything that I could ever want in a pistola (and I own quite a few) is in this model. And she shoots like a dream....Peace has been found.

Cocobolos

I received my cocobolo grips from Angus yesterday along with the slotted grip screws from Brownell's. Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

And just for good measure, the guardian...

Golly, there are some good looking CZ's on this page!! As a matter of fact, don't believe I've ever saw an ugly one!''

Jeff, I've thought over the grip thing and I think I'm going to lean over to the conservative side as bad as I'd like to have a set of those hundred dollar plus jobs that I was looking at. I just need some thinner grips for the '75. That sucker is a hand full....of course, it had to be to have that kind of capacity. By the way, that guardian looks like one mean hombre!!!

Codge, I find these grips noticeably thinner than the black rubber grips that came on it. I really like these ones.

And yes, she's fierce, but keeps her paw off the trigger and has good muzzle discipline.

Armoredman, did the flat base plates come on the mags for your wifes P-01 or did you special order them? I kind of like those.

i got cocobolo thins on our sp-01 now. looks good, but most importantly it makes speed reloading easier. als oworked the gun over a little more. i had cut down a 15# spring and tuned a 18# recoil spring.... i swapped it to a 13# hammer and 11# recoil spring, doh. wasted money. my springs were just as slick, haha.

I got a set of the coco-bolo grips from CZ Custom shop as well.
Like them a lot better than the factory plastic jobs.
