CZ 83 .32 ACP

I just bought a CZ 97B. I pick it up Saturday. Lightly used, two mags, five hundo.

I'm (still) thinking of a CZ 82 or 83. 83s cost too much, and 82s are too much hassle, with the shipping and FFL transfer. Maybe it is good that I'm so lazy, keeps me from going broke on guns. Anyone got an 82 for sale?

CZ 75 Shadow LS

Hello. I'm seriously looking at buying this gun but first would like to hear from anyone who may have experience with this modified (by Angus Hobdell's shop) Shadow. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks, from the pictures, that it has a CTS top end. I don't know about the barrel. I currently shoot a CZ 75 SA. Would the grip on the Shadow LS be the same as the 75 SA? It's got to be a fairly heavy gun but since I target shoot (not competitively) that isn't too much of an issue and the longer sight radius appeals to me.

Any shooting impressions of the Shadow LS or Shadows in general or other info would be greatly appreciated.

Pete

Shadow longslide is a 75SA with a Tactical Sport top end fitted to it.
and then other amenities added in.

Here's the thing. If Angus and company have had their hands on it you are probably going to just love it. And if, by some tiny chance, something isn't quite right they will MAKE it right.

It really is that simple.

Put a LIGHTLY used 75B on hold at my LGS and going to pick it up on Wednesday, my 21st birthday! this will be my first handgun and I couldn't be happier with my find.

They had it in the case for $395 with 2 sets of grips; stock black and wood (which are beautiful :D), 3 mags, and the original box and manuals.

I'll walk out with it for $405 after the background check...gotta love Oregon and it's lack of sales tax :neener:

I made a typo I didn't correct in my original post. The gun I purchased was a 75BD!

I know some will scoff at the thought of the decocker but I have been handling the gun A LOT since I bought it, and also took her shooting today, and I really like it.
I took it apart and and cleaned everything and the only real wear I could see was on the frame rails and slightly on the barrel. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase :D

This is the best group I could get out of 100 Rounds. It'll take some time to get used to, as I am used to shooting a Glock 17.

I don't know if this is permitted or not, but I spent a couple of months compiling a blog article entitled "The Evolution of the CZ 85". It's a long read with 25 photos and shows the changes made to the gun to make it into the CZ 85B. You'll be surprised at the number and scope of the changes. It's located at http://guntalkers.blogspot.com/2011/01/evolution-of-cz85-by-jp.html

Mods, everything in the article is my own work, including the photos, so there are no copyright issues. But feel free to delete this if it doesn't make muster with the site's rules.

PS - For those who are unfamiliar with the CZ 85 and '85B, they are ambi versions of the CZ 75 and '75B. Hope you find it worth your while.
