Edited to add that it was at 7 yards. Last week I had a 5 shot group in the 10 ring at 25 yards but then the groups after that opened up a lot (but still in the 7 ring).

This used to be my least favorite gun. Now it is my all time favorite.
It is a 75 Compact .40. The sights are all black low profile LPA. The are too thin vertically so I will change them with fixed PT MMC sights. The grips are the thin aluminum from ghoastholster sold by Angus.
The original mag had a huge base plate and it was really ugly and impractical for CCW. So what you see is a flush fitting Pro Mag 10 rnd mag with a HK USP 9mm/40 base plate which fit perfectly over the metal base plate of the pro mag.

Yeah, that 97B is definitely a real sweet .45... Put 100-rnds thru one, 'big-gun' feel (just alittle bigger than the SP-01) with one of the 'softest' .45 recoils I've ever felt! MSRP from CZ just went up $30... had been seein em for $595+...
In the market for a .45 myself, and been also looking a the SIG-220, HK-USP and the FNP-45 (have a FNP-9, my ONLY 'poly' gun and I love it)... Anyway, with the high cost of .45-ammo, I'm not in too much of a hurry right now... but I am gonna get one!

I'm officially a multiple CZ owner as of two days ago. Bought a dual tone 75B to go with my PCR. Had been seeing it at the local gun shop for weeks but didn't think I wanted it (a.) in 9mm and (b.) and at their price. It went on sale about the same time I noticed 'quantity=0' at several of the online vendors, so I went ahead and got it figuring 9mm was a little easier on the wallet in terms of ammo anyway. As a fairly novice shooter I've been reluctant to blame my equipment (normally M&P .40) for my so-so progress, but after putting 200 rounds through it today I'm pretty much an official convert. Never with any of my other three pistols have I been able to punch out a bulls eye or group an entire mag within 3 inches but today was a watershed. I didn't want to stop shooting but the gun was so hot it was burning my thumb on my support hand. Can't wait to get some rubber grips on it so it'll feel even better.

DAVE... you have one beautiful gun there!!!... And you will enjoy it for many years!
Personally, GLOCK is an excellent gun, but it just never felt right for me (grip)... The CZ truly has that 'heavy-metal feel' that I love in a gun... and the P-01, along with 'that' feel, will show you an ACCURACY that is simply TOPS!!
I have a bunch of CZs and the P-01 is near the top of my list!... ENJOY!!

DWhitehorne, that's a pretty one. Which model is it? It looks like a P-01, but I've never seen one with a safety on the right side, or even a safety at all, for that matter. The decocker is on the left side, normally. Is this a custom P-01?
Incidentally, you might want to put the photo/image into the "Paint" program (Microsoft) and rub out the serial numbers on the image, then repost it.

it´s a pleasure to see so many satisfied CZUB funs in US (sorry for my bad English ) . I am surprised of prices in USA. CZ-75B costs in Czech Republic 15780,-Kc .It´s 986,-USD. You must be very lucky but I´m very angry at CZUB . I sold my CZ-75B 4years ago because of family problems and now I´m looking for some new pistol.I was thinking about Glock 17 but there are new models of CZ-75 ( Shadow,Phantom,SP-01 ...)at present and so I will probably buy some new CZ. I was not too satisfied with weight and quality of my CZ-75B (trigger, barrel ) but it was relatively cheap ( for example SigSauer P226 costs in Czech Republic 30-36000,-Kc ),very reliable and accurate . And ..... I am Czech. I wish you much fun with CZpistols ! Regards Roman

I am fluent in it, but unfortunately do not know how to speak Chechnyan. I would love to see Prag one day. When I was in Europe the whole cold war thing was still going on and you could get across to any of the WARSAW countries. I was lucky enough to see East Germany. The SP-01 is a great high capacity 9mm, it that is what you are looking for. Save the money and get youself a CZ, you obviously know how good they are! Take care, God bless.

atblis: Unlike here in the US. In Europe it is very common for a person to speak more than 2 langues, or more. That is why I asked him. I wish I could speak Cechezian, but I don't. I would not be surprised if he spoke Russian. He was feeling a bit shaky whith his English, and I thought that perhaps he spoke another langue, such as German. Just try'n to give a help'n hand.

What ever atblis. You win, I don't feel like arguing about something as petty as who speaks what languages. And by the way, since the "Iron Wall" came down, people speak more than just "French, German, & English" (they did before too, but you know better than I do). You forgot a bunch of other languages...I have family that live in Europe and I have also live in both Germany and England. So, I've got an insiders point of view on what langauges are spoken...Europe is small compared to other countries (heck it's made up of smaller countries), very diverse in cultures and their lanuages. Enough said, you win...I'm throughing in the towel...just trying to help a guy out, that's all.

I vividly remember how good it made me feel when THR members welcomed me as a new member & did their best to adress me in my own native language, EVEN if they got it wrong. I'm sure our new Czech friend won't mind at all, on the contrary.

I own :
- A CZ 75-B that looks exactly like ZeSpectre's on p.1 of this thread, except I was told mine is hardCHROMED instead of hard NICKELED. Does CZ make both ?
It's one of my favorite auto pistols. The only time it let me down was when the slide stop pin broke in half. Seems they do that, sometimes.
- What about a CZ 92 DAO .25 ACP ? Anybody ?
And last but certainly not least :
- My very first gun ever : a CZ ZKM 452, .22 LR bolt action rifle. Still own it, still shoot it, still extremely accurate.
